The Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OPCB) on August 07, 2025, notified regarding the registration of Producers, Recyclers, and Re-traders on the Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) Portal of CPCB.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that, as per the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2022, producers, waste tyre recyclers, and re-traders shall register on CPCB’s EPR portal (https://eprtyres.cpcb.gov.in) before operating.
• Registered entities cannot deal with unregistered parties, and false or concealed information can lead to registration revocation for up to three years, along with environmental compensation.
• Entities in multiple categories shall register separately, and CPCB may levy registration fees with steering committee approval.
